Off the cliff we go…..

So much for thinking the summer would take care of or slow the progression of the pandemic, which is the usual protocol with this sort of virus…..the hotspots are now the hotspots!?!

If the heat itself is somewhat acting as a brake in helping stop the spread somewhat, even in the hotspot zones, what does the fall and seasonal cool down portend?

In Canada, where I call home, the border is anything but “closed”, as over a million visitors have penetrated our strainer-like border. Flights still continue to land unabated….CBC reports 26 flights in the past 2 weeks were known to have brought in the virus….so the second wave is coming….taking it’s time, incubating, mutating, learning new ways to survive in the hotspots…waiting for the cooling north breezes that force it’s prey fleeing the cold, wet weather into hibernation indoors where it does it’s best work.

The stupidity apparently doesn’t rest there.

I read yesterday citizens in Ireland are fed up with American tourists that are breaking the 14 day self-isolation rule. 20 flights a day are landing from America…loaded with tourists on a one, two, three week vacation (where is all this money to travel coming from?). Most are soon caught wandering down streets, taking in the sights, eating at a restaurant….cause this is what tourists do….most Americans claim ignorance when confronted, as usual….that part is the easy part to understand because who in their right mind willingly travels to Ireland for 2 weeks to sit, quarantined in their hotel room only to fly back to America once their restrictions are lifted? Short answer is ignorant Americans, who the airlines call “our best customers”…

I pretty much assure you the airlines don’t care and most likely don’t warn you when booking your flight about any such restrictions. They have your money and doing a moral right is not in their interests.

Cursory SELF-ISOLATION PROTOCOLS announcement, once you’ve been seated on the plane seals and guarantees non-compliance (see above) and quashes any legal retribution attempts in it’s tracks as judges will scream “caveat emptor”

My, how things have changed since the beginning, where we all can recall when the pandemic totals in China were in it’s infancy AND every country banned air travel from China. Delta, AA et al, willingly suspended flights…..to “prevent the spread”

Yet here we are, when roles are reversed and the US is the epicenter, …thoughts or utterances of the suspending flights from the US are verboten, now they don’t seem to have the same” concerns”, their hypocrisy now enriched thru liability immunity.

Not to worry tho, the mighty dollar still rules, no matter where you live, and while the US remains the premier circus, a clown instilled as leader, the rest of the world speaks of closed borders that aren’t really closed, and gaslight us all into a guaranteed second wave, all our collective efforts for naught, just so we can collect those virus laced tourist dollars….
